GAWLER - EVANSTON - PORT PIRIE - SOUTHERN ADELAIDE - WHYALLA - YANKALILLA

Last Update: 20 January 2012 — Shihan's visit in February; Nationals in March

Takahashi Shihan (8th Dan, OAM)
TSKF Australia Chief Instructor

Shihan visits Australia twice a year and spends many weeks visiting the various states. During this time he conducts training and gradings. We are very lucky to have a man of this calibre teaching us. He brings an unbroken line of instruction to us.

The TSKFA is Shotokan based and not for profit Karate organization that is following the original teachings of the founder Gichin Funakoshi and the late Master Nakayama. TSKFA truly believe that the #1 Principle "Never forget that karate begins and ends with respect" should be followed at all times. We also promote strong moral principles, traditional etiquette and the encouragement of goodwill and harmony among all karateka.

We have recently joined the ISKF and look forward to an exciting new future with the opportunity to train with like minded Shotokan karate groups and foster an 'open-door' policy. All states have various events for the rest of the year including Childers, Northern Rivers, Coolah and New Zealand to mention a few. Refer to the national web site for more information.

2012 Nationals

The Third TSKF Australian National Titles will be held on the Gold Coast over March 19–24. An information pack in PDF format is available for download from the national web site (by login), or it can be found by Google search. If you are thinking of attending, please talk to Sensei Lester as soon as possible. Gawler dojo is getting organised for the event now and is offering support for all students who wish to attend.

Shihan's last visit with Willis Sensei

Shihan last visited South Australia in August 2011 with Mark Willis Sensei from New Zealand. (Osu, Sensei!) As well as training sessions during that time, several gradings and a State competition were held. Congratulations to all who graded and competed. And a big thank you to the small army of volunteers who pulled it all together so smoothly. It was a great week and Shihan was very pleased.
